What should be considered before a hair transplant?
To prepare for your procedure as best as possible, please make sure to follow the instructions below:
Medication
You should stop taking blood-thinning medication such as aspirin, vitamin B and E preparations up to about 1 week before the treatment, as these will tend to cause bleeding. If you have taken any of these remedies during this time, please let us know.
Chronic illness
If you have a chronic illness such as heart and circulatory problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, wound healing disorders or allergies, please tell your doctor in detail. Medicines that have already been prescribed must be brought to the clinic and presented to the doctor treating you.
Smoking
Smoking causes circulatory disorders, thereby blocking the nourishment and healing of the hair. At the same time, smoking increases the risk of infection. Therefore, you should stop smoking a week before and after hair transplantation.
Alcohol
If you consume alcohol, you should refrain from it 3-4 days before and after the aar transplant. Because alcohol could interact with the medication.
Coffee
Please try not to drink coffee or other beverages with caffeine before the operation. Such drinks can increase bleeding during surgery and their sensitivity to drugs.
Sleep
Adequate sleep is also highly recommended.
Breakfast
It is imperative that you have breakfast before you come to the surgery.
Comfortable clothing
On the day of the treatment, we recommend that you wear comfortable clothing that you can put on and take off without any problems, and that you do not have to pull it over your head, as well as comfortable shoes. Shirts are well suited as they do not have to be pulled over the head. This is especially true for the first few days after the treatment.
Shave
Please do not shave your hair before the transplant. This is done in the clinic before the operation.
Bandana
You don’t need to take a hat or medication with you, we’ll give you those. You will receive a bandana from us that is tied at the neck.
To wash
Wash your hair with shampoo before the operation (on the day of the operation), but do not use any other hair care products.
